school me

The Innocent League runs an annual campaign called “School Me” with the slogan, 'Keeping girls in school, bringing boys on board'.

The campaign was developed as a result of the evidence that shows that Uganda has made mixed progress towards gender equality in education. In primary education, gender parity is at 91% of the school-age population being enrolled. However, female literacy rates lag behind at 49% compared to 69% of males and gender gaps widen at secondary and tertiary school.

The Innocent League Uganda supports parents, students and pupils on the high cost of school materials by mobilizing resources, scholastic materials and reusable sanitary towels which are given to vulnerable school going children in remote areas of Uganda.
